scrapbooking...Running ....Cycling....New Hobby....

so since moving here in the last week I have done all three ! Running - I am enjoying....decided I needed to get fit so that I am not a slobby 44 year old..so now run with a neighbour each weekend and one day during the week...and have signed up for the Race for Life in June in Chipping Norton



Cycling...did a fantastic 15 mile bike ride yesterday with some people from the village which was great ....may well do a 25 mile ride for charity on May 20th the Larkrise trail through oxon, bucks and northants/.....!

Scrapbooking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what is that all about ...I was invited along to a scrapbooking party , thsi sort of thing......http://www.smilebox.com/scrapbooks/?partner=google&campaign=search_scrapbook&gclid=CJ2ak5L7_5ICFQgKGgod5T0BFg here is an example ...we all had to take photos with us to scrap book - which basically involved cutting sticking and gluing! something that i do with a two year old on wet afternoons! and I can tell you she is more creative! Anyway it was a laugh as my friend and I were the naughty school girls in the class whispering and giggling! and both managed to get away with buying a device that takes the edges off photos ...

wild weather ...the world warms up

last weekend we went to the sea....

Nelly and I were on the beach on the Saturday evening until 7 15 collecting shells and trying to skim stones...we woke up to snow by the sea, it lasted all of about ten minutes we came back to snow so Nelly was on the beach for two days and then makinbg snowballs when she got home

I Do It ... I Do It ....

Nelly's favourite words at the moment - even though she has never done the task before in her life! Independence - she is still so fiercely independent, last week she was putting milk in my tea and lets say it was more milk than tea! ....she has a knack with computers! OOOPs Gabs computer in Bournemouth! walking the dog, pushing the buggy, throwing stones into the sea....at a littlle open farm last week one moment she was next to me , the next she spied a bouncy castle about 250 yards away and whoosh I looked up she had run, taken off boots, coat and waistcoat and was bouncing up and down with a group of 4 year olds!

we have not been back to South East london since mid January ...so we had a trip last weekend. First a housewarming with our friends Fiona Rinus and Nina and then a day in the park with her boy friends from ST J Farm Road....

Nelly and Nina had a great time standing on a chair doing the washing up and not a single Nelly moment ! At the party we met friends who had just hear about their referral and were so excited with lots and lots of questions! we had a great afternoon drinking tea and eating delicious cakes and sarnies..followed by an evening of champagne and nibbles!

Sunday we met up with Fraser, Kamran and Met - known as Nelly's London boyfriends! N F and M spent the first ten minutes jumping up and down in a puddle! so Rob had to head back to the car to put her back into a pair of dirty leggings as she was so soaked...

London is great to go back to for a few days but the park on Sunday was so packed I felt positively claustrophobic and Nelly runs so fast now that it is impossible to keep tabs one her!

It was lovely to come back to the village and run in the garden ....
